Welding is a fabrication process that can use high heat, pressure, or both to join two or more metals together to create a strong and permanent bond, oftentimes stronger than the parent materials. At Welded Metals, we primarily work with sheet metal from 26 gauge up to 2” thick plate. The procedures we perform include:

Sandblasting, or abrasive blasting, is the process of propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under very high pressure. It is used to smoothen a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, shape a surface, or remove contaminants such as paint and rust. At Welded Metals, we use a variety of media in our blasting services from synthetic abrasives such as coal slag, engineered abrasives such as aluminum oxide and glass beads, and recycled abrasives like plastic. We also provided metal conditioning and blasted finishing.

Powder coating is a technique in which a free-flowing, dry powder is applied to metal and cured with either high heat or ultraviolet light. This process produces a thicker coating and a texture-free finish that is tougher and smoother than conventional paint. At Welded Metals, we offer powder coating services for one-off projects, as well as for shorter production runs with our small batch oven and larger 6’ x 6’ x 12’ oven. We are also able to provide our powder coating services in a wide range of colors to best meet your project needs.

Fiber laser cutting is a technique that relies upon a powerful laser beam to make extremely precise and accurate cuts through a variety of materials to turn them into different shapes and sizes. At Welded Metals, we use a 5’ x 10’ 3kw laser cutter to achieve quality and consistent cuts, while also providing greater productivity through increased production speeds, which results in faster turnaround times.

Metal forming, or the manipulation of metal into desired shapes and sizes, is a cornerstone of the manufacturing industry. At Welded Metals, we provide services from simple bending to more complex shaping that meets the specific functional and/or aesthetic requirements of the project. Our CNC press brakes and 48” slip roller allow us to produce strong, durable, and uniform components that are both high-quality and consistent.

Metal fabrication is the process of cutting, bending, and/or assembling metal materials in order to create products and/or structures that are then either partially or fully put together, or installed. At Welded Metals, our specialties include: (1) Tube frame fabrication for the automation industry (robotics, material handling) with small to large high-tolerance framework and (2) Retail displays and fixtures for basic to high-end retail settings, restaurants, and lounges.
